全球ICT產業年度盛會、台北國際電腦展Computex Taipei將在今日登場，今年聚焦：智慧聯網、行動應用、雲端技術與服務三大主題，有來自21個國家、1702家廠商參展，外貿協會副秘書長葉明水預期，今年電腦展商機上看250億美元，占台灣資通訊出口額比重達4分之1。
葉明水指出，這次有超過700家物聯網相關應用廠參展，物聯網結合智慧穿戴將成為智慧生活的基礎，舉例來說，未來只要戴上智慧手表，就能把心跳、血壓等即時身體狀況傳送到指定醫院，協助醫師診斷、預防及監測疾病，或者是在開車時，直接透過語音控制家中的電器。
葉明水說，智慧生活的背後蘊釀著物聯網龐大商機，甚至連美國正在推動的工業革命4.0，也是需要物聯網參與，希望未來能達到無須人工控制的無人工廠，這部分台灣的工研院也正在研發。
另台北國際電腦展舉辦的創新設計獎d&i awards，今年得獎產品不只外觀有型，而且深入日常生活各個應用面向。smanos結合物聯網推出兼具管家與警衛功能的智慧型居家守護套件；智林企業開發出蓮子大小的雷射尺，插手機上隨手可測量；高普達迅速回應蘋果MacBook只有單一USB-C接口的缺點，推出五合一擴充配件。
d&i awards今年邁入第8屆，271件參與角逐，共有72件獲獎，其中5件抱得金質獎。Dell獨得2項金獎，分別是XPS 13、Alienware Area 51。
